Roll Tide, Roll

Posted by Scipio Tex on December 3rd, 2009 under Football

Like many Longhorns, I'll be watching the SEC title game in a Dallas sports bar to scout our prospective opponent before walking over to the Death Star for the Corn Husking. Yes, I just counted chickens before they hatched. Barking Carnival has a poultry gynecologist on retainer and a Burger King heat lamp turned incubator that we use to keep Doperbo's perineum bacteriostatic and moist.

It's champeen-ship time. I'll be in Dallas eating $24 nachos and watching Chi-Os cage dance just like the rest of you, but consider this your appetizer.

Looking @ Nebraska Defense

Defense Judging from the Coaches All-Big 12 team, this is the finest collection of defenders the Big 12 has ever seen. Uncle Bevo braved West Texas winds and the ever-present potential for mud rain to go out and scout the Pirates of The Plains. We're hopeful dedfischer of Tortilla Retort will reply. Here is UB's report. - SR ___________ Most people don’t associate delicate sensitivity with football. Some things just don’t fit together in our minds, like Donald Trump and quiet dignity, Lindsay Lohan and a clean hair follicle test, or Tom Cruise

What To Do Against Ol Mizzou

Posted by Scipio Tex on October 14th, 2008 under Football

Missouri represents a number of challenges for us, as we do for them. Their first challenge: firing the SID Let's explore the issues relevant to this matchup joyfully like a playscape made of taffy. Missouri Offense: No Vanilla Please We need our defense as dark and complex as a Nigerian beat poet. Chase Daniel has been running this offense since he was four. Although he has

Texas/Colorado Football Analysis

Posted by Scipio Tex on September 29th, 2008 under Football

I've decided to distract myself from gawking at the smoldering ruin that was my 401K by researching a bit about the Buffaloes. Before the year, I would have been pleased to leave Boulder with a last second field goal for the win. The game set up well for them for a host of reasons. Right now I can't say I'm overly concerned about the Buffs. Partly that's us, a lot of that
