Big 12 Legacy

Posted by Nickel Rover on March 4th, 2010 under Basketball

Football: Vasherized was there to record the developments from the open practice, Geoff Ketchum is opposing the new development on the grounds that it gives up too much of what worked the last 2 years. I'm feeling better from hearing both opinions. Sure the 3-step passing game of Colt's prime was good to Texas, but it was also dependent on super-accurate Colt throwing darts underneath to the Quan and Ship both of whom he had been

We'll keep updating this as we become aware of additional ex-Longhorn performances... In case you missed the NFL Network game last night, Ricky Williams had a terrific performance in leading the Miami Dolphins over the Carolina Panthers with three TD's including this game clinching 46 yarder. All and all, not a bad night for little Earl. 15 carries for 121 yards. Two rushing TD's and 1 reception for a TD.

SI Explains Why Athletes Go Broke (But Lenny Dykstra & Chance Mock Will Save Them)

Posted by Scipio Tex on March 23rd, 2009 under Uncategorized

Newsflash: many athletes are sheltered, not particularly bright, prone to wild speculation, have no financial acumen, and are easily manipulated. So they're basically like the average American, but with superior vertical leaps. At least that's what Sports Illustrated contends in How (and Why) Athletes Go Broke Consider: • By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of

10 Years Ago Right Now

Posted by Huckleberry on October 31st, 2008 under Football

I was hurrying back to my apartment after having walked out of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (precursor required to take the Professional Engineer exam after a certain time period in the workforce) early to watch the Longhorns game in Lincoln, Nebraska. Some engineering classmates called me after they got out to give me some encouragement because they figured I had bombed it. Fools. There was a great football game that day. First
