BCS Forecast

Posted by Huckleberry on October 12th, 2009 under Football

Click here. As of this posting, Anderson-Hester is not out for this week, it will be added when available and when I'm able to do so after parent-teacher conference day. It is now updated with Anderson-Hester. Wolfe does not release his until next week (the holdout so the BCS cronies can have an "exclusive" release). I drop the high and low and divide by the maximum available regardless of the

Florida wins the preseason national championship

Posted by HenryJames on August 22nd, 2009 under Football

Never before has a team received so many first place votes in the preseason AP Poll. Never! Florida got 58 of 60, and some shitty team from somewhere else got the other two. Pity votes one would assume. The rest of the Top 25 is inconsequential. It's not surprising that Florida got that many votes when they're led by a quarterback who does things no other quarterback has ever done. Mainly get a media blowjob after

Who is The Sporting News’ college football athlete of the decade?

Posted by HenryJames on August 8th, 2009 under Football

OMG! Click here to find out! After you go pick up a new computer to replace the one you smashed, you can take solace in the fact that at least some people in the media aren't fucktards.

Big 12 Media Days preview

Posted by HenryJames on July 26th, 2009 under Football

The Big 12 media days kick of tomorrow, and last week the media released their preseason poll and All Big 12 Team. Texas received the most first place votes (17 to OU’s 15), but they both tied with 172 points. So some shitheel probably picked Texas third on their ballot because he feels a Mike Gundy coached team is destined for big things. The selection process is for the all conference team is

The Stoops Paradox

Posted by TaylorTRoom on December 3rd, 2008 under Football

I see a lot of people parroting Stoops' line about  how  you can't use Texas' head-to-head victory over OU in voting unless you also vote Tech ahead of Texas...but yet OU beat Tech.  OMG!  There is no solution!  I am surprised by how many people seem to buy this argument.  It's an example of specious reasoning called a paradox.  Merriam

Texas Passes OU in Coaches’ Poll

Posted by Scipio Tex on November 16th, 2008 under Football

Looks like some of them were shamed by some of the media scrutiny. Still, not a very compelling lead for us. An OU victory over Tech while we're on bye creates the possibility for backsliding. By the way, don't look now, but UTEP and Florida Atlantic are now .500 at 5-5 and Rice comes off idle at 7-3 with a chance to win their league. I now turn this over to our

Mr. Football’s BCS doomsday scenario

Posted by HenryJames on November 5th, 2008 under Football

Tony Barnhart of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has come up with a scenario that he believes will cause the most hatred towards the BCS system. But what if No. 4 Florida beats No. 1 Alabama in the SEC championship game and No. 3 Texas beats No. 14 Missouri for the Big 12 championship? Penn State moves to No. 1 (trust me, it will) and both Texas and Florida finish 12-1. Who’s No. 2? Who gets left

The Big 12 South and the BCS

Posted by srr50 on November 2nd, 2008 under

Looks like the computers love the Big 12 South. 40% of the BCS Top Ten are from the Big 12 South. Basically, the 5th best team in the Big 12 will have a home game for the Conference championship. 2. Texas Tech 4. Texas 6. Oklahoma 9. Oklahoma State 14. Missouri
