JC Will Start In KC

Posted by Scipio Tex on October 16th, 2008 under Football

Item! Jamal Joe Jamail Malcolm-Jamal Warner Jamaal Charles may get his first NFL start after Larry Johnson go slap-a-ho in Da Club. This is Johnson's third charge since joining KC in 2003. Edgy Interrogative! Riddle me this: why is that no one ever mentions that Larry Johnson is a coach's kid? Cogent Analysis!

The Big 12’s Nightmare Draft

Posted by BRAGGonUT on April 28th, 2008 under Football

The Big 12 had its worse draft ever. Even Mike Reinfeldt and Jeff Fisher think so. It took 36 selections before the second Big 12 player was drafted. This is from a conference with four of Top 10 in the final AP rankings. Pathetic. Powerhouse programs like Troy, Vanderbilt, Delaware, and Tennessee State had picks before anyone from the Big 12 was selected. God kills a blue hen

Charles and Finley file NFL draft paperwork

Posted by HenryJames on December 17th, 2007 under Football

The Dallas Morning News reported that 'two sources close to the players' indicated that both Jamaal Charles and Jermichael Finley have filed the necessary paperwork to see where they'll be drafted. Mack Brown said that all Texas' underclassmen have told him they'll be returning, and my gut feeling is that both Charles and Finley will return next year. Charles will probably look at how both Ricky Williams and Cedric Benson improved their draft status

Jamal Charles releases statement after being tortured

Posted by HenryJames on November 8th, 2007 under Football

You have to hand it to our coaches. They know how to break a player. After questioning Jamal Charles both publicly and privately, they've now gotten him to take the majority of the blame for our inability to design a running game that suits him. Bravo.

'The holes have always been there, Jamal!' Once Charles had been beaten down, delivery of the message became very important. It couldn't be trusted

Texas Football: Nebraska Post-Mortem

Posted by Scipio Tex on October 30th, 2007 under Football

I have a work colleague whose husband is a manager at the Venetian in Las Vegas. It might surprise you then, classy joint that the Venetian is, to learn that it is the site of the prestigious Adult Video Awards. Aside from the enjoyment of seeing porn stars being led through the lobby on leashes or Tito Ortiz terrorizing anyone who gawks at Jenna Jameson, he was most struck by the fact that

Mack Brown going for his 100th win at Texas. That's 1 conference championship for every 100 victories. Or 1 conference championship equals 100 wins in dog years. Still showing the end of Colorado at Tech. Tech trying to prevent their 2nd straight loss. Colorado trying to prevent their 3rd straight. Bill Callahan is not to be outdone. He's trying to prevent his 4th straight loss. ABC decides to watch the final 2 minutes instead of switching to Texas.

In Defense Of Jamaal Charles

Posted by ChrisApplewhite on October 25th, 2007 under Uncategorized

There are a couple big debates over on hornfans™ about our running game and Greg Davis. Wade through all the nonsense if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it, on account of my not wanting to see this site's readership die off of forehead vein explosions. The main topic in most of them have come down to two sides, either Jamaal Charles runs too east/west, or the scheme and Davis force it.

Liveblogging Texas against Baylor

Posted by HenryJames on October 20th, 2007 under Football

I'm doing what? This will be a slaughter, but hopefully it will give us a chance to see some of the secondary packages duane Akina will use against Texas Tech. Fittingly sponsored by Hampton Inn and Keystone Light, the cornerstone of any weekend in Waco. We have Chris Ogbonnaya returning kicks. Seriously. Conscious effort to get the ball to Finley. Thrown at him 3 times, 1 completed. Inevitable fake field goal coming up. And there it is. Ruled uncatchable.
