Aggie John Lopez Called Out by Kevin Sumlin

Posted by Trips Right on November 20th, 2009 under Football

I really don't care for Sumlin, but he's a good coach and I give him props for calling out uber-douche-nozzle John Lopez. If you don't live in Houston, Lopez is a columnist for the Houston Comical, and evidently has pictures of multiple sports radio programming directors giving barnyard animals smooth buttfuckings because he has no business on the radio as you're about to find out. Scipio could inject himself with heroin laced mescaline,

Jackson Jeffcoat and His Official Visit to Austin

Posted by Trips Right on September 15th, 2009 under Football

Unless you live in a cave you've probably already heard that 5 star recruit and possibly the best defensive end in the land is taking his official visit this weekend for the Texas Tech game. More importantly, his dad and University of Houston defensive line coach Jim Jeffcoat will be joining the stud defensive lineman. This is ABSOLUTELY huge

Tom Penders: “It’s All ESPN’s Fault”

Posted by srr50 on January 28th, 2009 under Basketball

Last weekend Houston's Aubrey Coleman mistook Arizona's Chase Budinger's face for a throw rug. Coleman was kicked out of the contest, and then suspended by Conference USA for another game. His coach, Tom Pender, has come to his defense with a conspiracy theory. He says ESPN doctored the video. According to Deadspin, Penders was on a Houston radio station today and claimed that ESPN made the incident look worse than it was, and hung his

Tom Penders, Coogs, Step Into Controversy

Posted by srr50 on January 25th, 2009 under Basketball

Arizona tripped up Houston 96-90 in overtime Saturday, and the Cougars blew a double-digit lead on the road. Tom Penders team was up 63-51 midway through the 2nd half when Aubrey Coleman decided to use Arizona's Chase Budinger's face as a throw rug. Even after the flareup, Houston led by three with less than 30 seconds left in regulation. 'Zona had to foul, and they picked Kelvin Lewis, an 84% shooter from the free throw line

Jack Pardee takes Viagra, projects staff

Posted by HenryJames on December 11th, 2007 under Football

Looks like the University of Houston is serious about hiring Jack Pardee as their next head coach. According to the Houston Chronicle, UH has narrowed the search to Pardee and Notre Dame offensive coordinator Michael Haywood. Pardee, who has been out of coaching for a decade, has gone so far as to project what his staff would look like. It

Houston interviews 3 coaches not named Greg Davis

Posted by HenryJames on December 7th, 2007 under Football

The University of Houston has interviewed three candidates thus far for their head coaching position. The UH athletic director met with OU co-offensive coordinator Kevin Sumlin yesterday and has interviewed Notre Dame offensive coordinator Michael Haywood and old guy Jack Pardee. Sumlin would be my pick. Haywood would actually have to recruit the city of Houston if he became the Cougars' coach (yeah, I'm still bitter), and Pardee has been out of coaching for
