Allegedly One of the players involved, Nu'Keese Richardson, was at the center of the recruiting controversy earlier this year when Lane Kiffin accused Florida's Urban Meyer of cheating on his recruiting of Richardson. Richardson hails from Pahokee, Fla. which earlier this week was the subject of a USA Today article that paints Pahokee as a troubled town that lives through its HS football team.

Pics of Sergio Kindle’s crash site

When we at Barking Carnival heard about Sergio Kindle's accident, we immediately dispatched our staff photographer to the scene to get some pictures. In other words, I drove by this morning and took some pictures with my iphone before I got breakfast tacos. The accident occurred at 2704 Rio Grande, and the apartment into which Kindle drove is part of a huge complex. Rio Grande is two lanes but one way. The white truck wouldn't normally

The NCAA is putting some teeth into its NCAA Taunting Rules Click the link for Phenom's breakdown of the proposed rule changes; it's well worth the read. My thoughts: I support these stiff penalties wholeheartedly. Why? I just went back and re-watched the '91 Miami Hurricane Cotton Bowl. Love that opening kickoff With these

OU week: Remembering The Sooner Fall Guy

Posted by Trips Right on October 10th, 2008 under Football

And how he was "Bomared" by the culture of cheating that embodies OU. Pretty interesting article here from SI. Despite the harshness of the penalty, "I didn't go out and rat anybody out or talk or anything like that, I just kind of moved on with my life." That statement -- "I didn't go out and rat anybody out" -- strongly implies that one or more of his teammates went unpunished. Asked to

No bitches have been kicked. No guns have been wielded. No breathalyzers have been maxed. We're nowhere to be found in the current Fulmer Cup rankings. In fact, we're not even Top 100. As you'll recall, we were a strong 6th in 2007. A lot of the media are trying to attribute this to

Andre Jones pleads guilty

Posted by HenryJames on June 26th, 2008 under Football

Former Texas player Andre Jones pled guilty to aggravated robbery today. So that's the end of that. He got 30 days, 10 years probation and 340 hours of community service. I'm sure it was worth it. His lawyer said that Jones hopes to rejoin the team, but a Texas source quickly put the kibosh on that. I hear UTEP is looking for defensive tackles.
