Longhorns Record as a Regular Season #1

Here's a piece of trivia that will only be good to use until Saturday (I think). The first game Texas lined up as the #1 team in the nation during the regular season  and the last regular season game that the Horns entered as the top team in the nation have both ended in a tie. On Aug 30th, Texas opens its season by hosting Florida Atlantic. Mack Brown will begin his 11th season as the Longhorns Head Coach. In the 116 years of UT football, only one other coach has lasted as long. Darrell Royal was at Texas for 20 years. Bear Bryant stayed at 'Bama for 25 years.
