Disdain

Posted by The General on March 4th, 2010 under Football

Because of my formative youth watching the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University Agriculturals beating the piss out of my beloved Longhorns, I cherish the current football climate in College Station. I especially enjoy a backhanded bitch slap by Colt McCoy to the Aggie's fail soaked medulla oblongatas. In an article about Garret Gilbert by Ivan Maisel, Colt dealt the Aggies quite a blow. "He came in as a true freshman and backed me up," McCoy

Combine Saturday open thread

You can watch the combine live on the NFL Network. Colt had an MRI on his shoulder, and everything is fine. "Obviously, that was going to be a tough part of the weekend, because people are going to want to know how the shoulder is and how it's healing up," the University of Texas standout said. Freshman on the road

Posted by Nickel Rover on February 17th, 2010 under Basketball

Basketball: 1 step forward, 2 steps backward. Dexter Pittman, Dogus Balbay and Avery Bradley each had 4 turnovers while the team had 18 overall that led to 25 Missouri points. Beyond that, the Tigers had a layup-line from open drives and offensive rebounds that led to 58% shooting in the 2nd half and Mizzou pulling away with the win. Check out the box score here. There have been books written about it, sermons preached about it, philosophical discussions about it. The great preacher Gerald Mann once said that if he made it to a place called heaven, he wanted to sit on the front row and ask God

Hans ‘n Franz Predict the BCS Championship Game

Posted by EyesOfTX on January 7th, 2010 under Football

Hans:  Hallo, all you magnificent fans of the Texas Longhorns.  I am Hans… Franz:  Und I am Franz… HansNFranz:  Und we are here to pump (clap!) you up!     Hans:  Today, the mighty, pumped-up Texas Longhorns prepare to destroy the puny, un-pumped, Crimson Tide from Alabama. Franz:  Yah, Alabama, where all human people are related to each other due to the practice of in-breeding. Hans:  Yah, in-breeding.  Hah!  I laugh at in-bred, puny Alabama Crimson Tide people. Franz:  Yah,
