Posted by srr50 on March 12th, 2010 under Football

Alabama took a look at their 2010 football schedule, and what do you know? The last six SEC teams on their schedule all get a bye week before playing the Crimson Tide. 'Bama's schedule is as follows: 10/9 at South Carolina 10/16 Mississippi 10/23 at Tennessee 10.30 Open Date 11/06 at LSU 11/13 Mississippi State 11/20 Georgia State./Open Date 11/26 Auburn. The Wonderlic scores have been leaked and when something like this happens, I pretty much always blame the British and Germans.

Notre Dame Ready For A Seismic Shakup?

Posted by srr50 on March 9th, 2010 under Football

All the recent talk about proposed conference expansion has centered around Texas being a prime target for either the Pac 10 or Big 10. Now the biggest domino in the BCS is indicating that maybe they are ready to look to make a safe fall. Touchdown Jesus may send the signal that Notre Dame is willing to play nice with others. Around the Rivals

Football: Boomer And Sooner dig into spring football with NateHeupel pausing to chastize Longhorn fans for our disappointment in an 8th seeded basketball team and our hopes for Garrett Gilbert. OU fan knows well that 2nd year quarterbacks never amount to too much... He rates their DE group as the "most proven in the conference" which is another way of phrasing how I would put it, "inevitably the 2nd best behind the Sacho and co." Their

Because of my formative youth watching the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University Agriculturals beating the piss out of my beloved Longhorns, I cherish the current football climate in College Station. I especially enjoy a backhanded bitch slap by Colt McCoy to the Aggie's fail soaked medulla oblongatas. In an article about Garret Gilbert by Ivan Maisel, Colt dealt the Aggies quite a blow. "He came in as a true freshman and backed me up," McCoy

Guy Morriss: “No News is Good News.”

Guy Morris has coached in the SEC (Kentucky) and the Big 12 (Baylor). Lately he has taken a step down from those days -- he is the head coach of the Div. II Texas A&M-Commerce Lions. While the spotlight isn't as bright in Commerce as it was in Lexington, or even Waco, Morris has at least found an effective method to deal with the press when they have a negative story about his team --

First look at the 2010 Longhorns

Posted by Vasherized on March 2nd, 2010 under Football

Here are some scattershots on the first open practice. The day after Mack Brown's Mom died he went right back to work. The man is committed. He seemed a little subdued but former Longhorns Justin Blalock, Rod Wright, and Colt McCoy kept his spirits up.
