This staff is money. The kind of money Trips leaves in g-strings. After this weekend’s four game sweep of Iowa, the team ERA is sitting at 1.89.
Game 1
Pitching: Cole Green was on and looked really comfortable out there. He gave up a single unearned run in the first on a single, three stolen bases and two errors while striking out the side. Iowa only managed three singles and a walk the rest of the game.
College baseball.
He's a witch. Last night he struck out 17 Iowa batters in only 7 1/3 innings of work. And got a no decision. More on that later. He's filled out his frame and is no longer all arms and legs like he was last year. His fastball has gotten, uh, faster, and last night his slider was unhittable.
No, you wouldn't.

Texas: RHP Austin Dicharry (8-2, 2.28 ERA)
UNM: LHP Mike Lachapelle (Juco)
It was the sort of cloudy, morose and slightly chilled day that of late has been making Austin seem like Seattle, and is the reason that February baseball sucks. The stadium probably filled about 3k of its possible 6,649, which seems reasonable for a poor-weather early-afternoon Friday game.
If we can get through Daniel Herrera and into the bullpen we have a chance.
Game should get started about 3 CST.
