   The way I see it: 1) UH hires a dud ‘up-and-coming” assisstant/over the hill big time coach and goes to hell, or 2) gets a good up-and-coming assistant/rebounding coach who is gone within 1-2 years. They then follow up with #1 because the odds of 2 happening again are about the same as getting struck by lightning twice.

   Until UH can get it’s average attendance over 3300, no one worth a damn will come to coach there or stick around. Penders only averaged about 4500 attendance in his best year. They are destined for suckitude and/or coach raiding until they put butts in the seats. The same is probably true of the football program.

   For you fucking Schadenfreude guys. Penders could not hold Barnes jock except this past season but thats the breaks. The “running” Horns were fun to watch and with no expectations to boot.
