  2. Somebody lookin’ for me??

  3. It’s the name “Caruth”. Bad juju.

  4. 2:36 in the afternoon? Fuck, these kids need to understand ‘gangsta’ activities take place in the AM…dumbass.

  5. As noted elsewhere, 2:36 pm is the new 3:30 am.

  6. Goddammit, He was coming by later with my purple drank for the afternoon games.

I need a backup plan, anybody got Robert Joseph’s number? Is he out and about?

    I NEED MY LEAN

  7. Can he still play in the MNC game though?

  8. Remember when we felt sorry for him because of his academic help?

Welcome to the 40 Darius and Mike!

  13. i get it, my bad.

  14. Well, f*ck, where am I going to get my smoke now? Why do you think I was in Austin last week?

  15. Good riddance. He was overrated by our fanbase anyway.

Did Brandon Collins go to right UT? I mean, given his academic struggles, are we sure he didn’t actually mean to sign with Tennessee and didn’t just get confused? It just seems like he’s a perfect fit for that program.

  19. I think this is a frame up orchestrated by Gilbert Arenas.

  20. What a dumb ass. Broad daylight aggravated robbery by a couple of brothers in Pflugerville. No wonder he had scholastic problems.

  21. It never ceases to amaze how stupid these kids are. I’m actually shocked nothing happened on New Years.

  22. Mike Davis, Darius White and Chris Jones are walking into a fairly open depth chart next year after Williams….

  23. Yes they are. Combined with Goodwin, that’s a hell of an exciting group.

  24. A hell of an exciting group that GD GD will never trust until midway through the season.

  25. Collins was absolutely overrated. He dropped almost as many as he caught, he didn’t give a shit about blocking, and he was a destructive influence on the team. Cocaine, guns, pot, and bullshit. Get the fuck out of here and have a nice time in prison.

Good riddance. He was overrated by our fanbase anyway.

Also overrated by our coaching staff too, presumably.

  31. Getting playing time, I understood. Being lauded, I didn’t.

As to guns, pot, and coke, I have zero experience with any of them, thankfully, but I’ve always assumed there is plenty of bullshit where any of the 3 go.

According to his MBTF profile (while it’s still up):

enrolled in the college of education … was an honor roll student since his sophomore year … involved with Future Cubs, mentoring elementary school children … has been a speaker at local junior high and elementary schools … mother, Kim, is an assistant coach with the girl’s basketball and track and field teams at Brenham H.S. … father, Darrell, is the head boy’s basketball coach at Fort Bend George Bush H.S.

A lot of good all this did.

Man I feel like beating the shit out of that scrawny fuck right now. Brandon, you hail from Blue Bell country. Was life really that fucking tough that this was your only route? Has society failed you poor Brandon? Limas made it out of the mean streets of Brenham. So far Roberson, Howard, and Poehlmann (although Luke should have been kicked off the team for that mullet last year) have all stayed out of trouble following their Tupacian upbringing in Bren-Stuy.

  37. What a shame. Why can’t these guys think to themselves, “If I do things right, I could end up like Derrick Johnson or Jamaal Charles?” Naaah…I think I’ll choose the thug life.

In all seriousness, prior to this event, was it known that Collins was troubled, that he was on a Ramonce trajectory?

  38. How many players are on the team? 100? Then hire 100 Ken Ruckers. Chain one Ken Rucker to each player. Only unlatch chain for practice and games. Mack should fund this out of his bonus.

  39. Collis did have some troubles in his past. Mack knew he was taking a chance on the kid and I think it will be the last time he takes such a chance. He has been burned pretty much every time he steps out on a limb for a kid with this kind of history.

    Bitches must be kicked

  41. I seem to vaguely recall tthere being some issues with Collins in high school. Can’t remember of what variety, but I seem to recall his appearance on campus was a bit iffy for a while.

  42. Collins and Ahmard Howard were arrested for weed possession while seniors in high school.

  43. Come on, it’s not like he drove his girlfriend to the desert and stuck a knife to her throat. I heard the dude in the McD’s parking lot was asking for it.

  44. Fuck John Bianco, we need Jack Bauer as our compliance guy. He’s about the only guy to keep these guys straight

As for me, I’m just a crazed country conservative and I’m drifting state to state

  45. from the comments in the Brenham Banner-Press story:

“BHS grad wrote on Jan 4, 2010 5:26 PM:

” Having been in class at BHS with Brandon, I saw how it was at BHS. Brandon got away with so many things, both academically and disciplinary, that other students and lesser athletes would have been crucified for. His coaches and mother interceded for him, to keep him on the field, in spite of his misdeeds and academic woes. I watched as he verbally and physically bullied other students, disrupted class and disrespected teachers and principals, only to be slapped on the wrist by the coaches handling his disciplinary issues. I wondered then how he would fare in college, due to the fact that he was never forced to accept responsibility for his actions in earlier life, simply because he is a gifted athlete. Now I know. I had hoped that Brandon would mature and be a successful student athlete, bringing pride to our class and this city, instead this happens. He was given so many opportunities that less-gifted, but harder- working athletes were not given, but lacked the intelligence and self discipline to take advantage of them. To those who will blame this on a poor choice, know that he has been making them all his life. His future now rests in the hands of the Texas penal system and I hope he receives a just punishment. I am sorry that I cannot feel sympathy for Brandon, I guess I just knew him too well. ”

Gotta wonder why Mack bothers with this type of kid. Sounds more spoiled than hard-luck. Apparently he needed an ass-kicking in high school that he never got.

Both teams are unselfish and preach sharing the ball. A&M is a balanced scoring team. Sloan showed in the first round against Utah State, for example, that he can defer when his teammates have things going. Purdue once again will have to rely on JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore to produce, and hope

    Offense

QB  Sr. Taylor Potts/Sr. Steven Sheffield – We’ve all annointed Sheffield as the starter, and I think that’s the case if we continue to run 99% of our snaps

Ford’s supporting cast was better than Durant’s in his sophomore year. Durant’s had more talent (Augustin, James, Abrams) but Ford’s was more developed (Boddicker, Ivey, Mouton, Thomas) and had worked with him for

This notion of Hamilton as being a disaster area on defense is all a bit much. He rebounds extremely well which, if it wasn’t obvious, is extremely important in this game since it secures possession of the basketball. Winning in basketball is achieved through the scoring of baskets and it’s necessary to possess the basketball
