25 – 1 over the last two years, the best in the nation (TCU is second at 24 – 1).

Longest win streak in the nation.

Seconds from being 26 – 0.

On to Pasadena to settle this.

  1. Love the chance to beat TCU. Just so they’ll shut the f*ck up. Damn they’re the most annoying D2 school ever.

  2. And hook ‘em.

  3. Oh and hook’em.

  4. Hook every fucking of of ‘em.

  5. I’m aware that I’m pissed off about our 13th win of the season that gives us a conference title and a shot at the national championship.

    It’s nice to be us.

  6. Sorry, “Hook every fucking ONE of ‘em.”

  7. If we don’t get 14, the first 13 are meaningless.

    Damn those high expectations.

  8. It’s gonna be real annoying for the rest of this month because everyone will say that Texas doesn’t belong in the CG and predict that Alabama is going to mudstomp the good guys. Who can blame them? I’m gonna have to swear off talk radio for the rest of the year.

After that display of complete offensive impotence, I just hope we’re not the next B12 sacrificial lamb to the altar of “SEC Dominance”.

  10. You mean just like the buildup to the 2005 game, FR?

  11. Damn right a wins a win we’re going to the National Championship……but why do i not feel good about this win at all? Another case of playing to our opponents level? Damn! I’m not as happy as I should be right now!

  12. But……..I still think we’ll kick bama’s ass!

  13. TOR, exactly. except no VY this time. see? i’m doing it already.

Gotta say though, it was immensely gratifying to see the Tebow sob like a girl on TV.

  14. People act like today is the only fucking day of this season. Alabama has had their stinkers as well.

  15. Holy crap, everybody calm down! Hookah is so right, ‘bama can shit the bed with the best of them, just like us. OH and by the way they don’t have Suh making us miserable.

Relax, people. The better team will win. And if not, we’ll cheat.

  16. Alabama 12, Tennessee 10
    Alabama 26, Auburn 21
    TCU 20, Air Force 17
    TCU 14, Clemson 10
    Cincinnati 47, Connecticut 45
    Cincinnati 24, West Virginia 21
    Cincinnati 45, Pittsburgh 44

  17. All in all, this was a good day -

    USC lost.
    Tebow wept.
    We won.

    On to Pasadena.

  18. i’m definitely not at all impressed with bama’s o, so i’m not too worried about our chances of winning. for now, let’s just relax and celebrate our championship.

  19. Brad Edwards projects TCU v Boise in the Fiesta. Cincinnati v Florida in the Sugar. Georgia Tech v Iowa in the Orange (yuk).

    What do you think?

  20. No more fucking mudholes ever again CTJ!!!!!

About time we are Big 12 champs again. Good job Mack you still need at least 5 more. It better not be 5 years in between conference champs.

All I have to say is thank God for Zac Lee.

Here is why we stomp a mudhole in ‘Bama.

You can’t run on Texas unless you have a black quarterback. If Ingram gains 50 yards on us I will drink my own piss.

Julio Jones can catch footballs about as well as the Pope can catch herpes.

Mt. Cody is no where near as good as Suh and he will be exhausted by the first quarter.

McCleroy is a slightly better version of Zac Lee. Not remotely worried.

We are fucking Texas and they are not.

    ‘Horns roll 42-10.

  21. Seriously. Stop the mudholes. talk about how we are going to win by 1 point ahole

  22. Bama will gain about 50-100 on the ground and 100-150 in the air if our D shows up. Their offense, defense, and special teams add up to 14-17 points, max. Like ATM, Bama is a Jekyll and Hyde team. Like ATM, we have to assume that they will bring their A-game to Pasadena. Like tonight, however, our D will show up and rise to the challenge.

Colt needs to channel VY and just ignore whatever bullsh*t gameplan GD comes up with. I am GD, so I am a schizophrenic and a hopeless cause, but the Nebraska game made me realize that our O-line cannot handle a solid D-line without help. What about running the ball in the first quarter to keep their D off-balance? What about assuming that Bama will get into the backfield on spread sets and designing plays or protections to nullify their penetration? What about taking reasonable shots downfield? We can’t force our WRs to catch the balls thrown their way, but I’m bullish on this team so long as I keep myself out of the way.

yep, and then i just won $150 in a texas holdem tournament after the game ended. good day indeed.

  24. Just got back from downtown DC. Lots of Horns out. Lots of people pissed TCU is not in the championship. I say F them.

  25. To the TCU fans who are unhappy, f them. We gagged on our BCS lumps of injustice last season, so it’s someone else’s turn this year.

We saved the hurry-up offense for the MNC. Mt. Cody will not be taught how to keep up with a fast-paced offense that probably could have tired out Suh faster than wind sprints uphill both ways.

    Right?

  27. patronsaint said:

    December 6th, 2009 at 4:33 am

not often you get to see a zero dimensional offense play a negative one dimensional offense. we won because we were just more versatile.

  28. You’d think that this abortion of a game by our offense would FORCE Mack to beat Davis and MacWhorter with a bamboo cane and make them actually coach our kids up and pull their heads out of their asses when it comes to play calling.

But I won’t hold my breath.

Yeah, I’ve talked to him about that mudhole shit. It’s pretty incredible how poor his predictions are despite all of the compelling arguments and anti-opponent rhetoric. Although you have to admit, his ability to denigrate OU and their fanbase regardless of the opponent or topic is funny.

  30. We are actually two seconds from 26-0 or 24-2. At least we still haven’t played our best game yet this year. We’ll need it in Pasadena. For those throwing F bombs at TCU fans, please go back to what we were all saying about OU and the BCS system last year. On any day, there are five or six teams this year that could beat each other on any given day. BCS sucks, but it benefits us this year. Just repayment for last year as far as I am concerned. Hope the Frogs win their bowl game as well.

We won despite the massive incompetence of Akina, McWhorter, Davis and Brown. I’m concerned that if Alabama scores two points on a safety they win.

  33. Yeah, I always thought Mack was a good game manager but boy was I fucking wrong. Hell, look at the tech game where no one was telling colt to slow the fuck down on that last drive. Shits gonna catch up to us eventually, let’s just hope we have some good juju for 1 more game this year.

  34. Has anyone seen any explanation of that retardation at the end of the game? What the hell was Colt thinking? What the hell were Mack and Davis thinking? I’ve seen GD get outcoached many, many times. But I haven’t seen the entire coaching staff look so clueless ever before. We lost every single aspect of that game except the one on the board and our defense against their horrendous offense. We got killed on special teams and completely out-schemed.

I get it and will drink the Kool-Aid. It may not even matter, as Bama got to play Florida’s defense without it’s two best players, which means there is no guarantee Bama’s offense is as good as it lookd at times today. But it should be noted that if we come out with a bunch of offensive linemen who sit down to pee, we do not get the ball to Malcom Williams early, we continue to pass it to Buckner on the outside and Kirkendoll ever, we keep running slow developing running plays against a D-line that is in our backfield, we continue to be unable to cover kick-offs, and we continue to call plays with such predictability that half the bar can shout out our next play (this literally was happening last night where I was) then it will take a transcendent night out of Colt like VY’s in Pasadena (and as much as I like Colt, he ain’t even close to VY) for us to beat Bama. Here’s hoping we get that!

Inexplicable clock management at the end which, fortunately, did not kill the dream.

Nebraska’s D was the perfect construction to rip our offense apart. Even then, some simple dropped passes hurt us almost as much as Suh did. Speaking of…

Heisman is a stupid joke. Suh deserves the damn thing but doesn’t have a prayer of winning it. Speaking of…

The mudhole handwringing from you guys shames us all. We can go ahead and chalk the mudholes up this year as 2-0. I think I am like 18-3 lifetime and 2-19 against the spread. It almost a situation now where if there is no mudhole for the next game, we’ll be jinxing things.

  41. I don’t know where else to post this, but: Craig Way’s call of that final field goal is awesome. I love how excited and into the games he gets. I also heard the Longhorn Spanish language station call of that play, and though I didn’t understand a word, the emotion there was great as well.

  42. Mack said he tried to call time with about 10 seconds left, but couldn’t get an official’s attention.

  43. Is the play clock/game clock in an unusual position at Jerry World? It seems like early in the year a visiting pro qb, Eli, was confused by the positioning of the two clocks. I wasn’t at the game, so what do you think?

Outside of that, I would think 9 sacks might have affected Colt’s judgement + numerous knock downs. I’m just glad we won and no one is injured.

  44. Java: yeah, its a little weird. I was at the game last night. Even harder to find was the damn down and distance on the scoreboard. I realize it is less important than the clock, but it was hidden.

  45. VY to be on CBS’s NFL Pregame in a few minutes. They already named Colt the #1 senior QB coming out… but say he’s a late 1st round to early second round pick. Pretty much the anti-Simms.

Well, WTF was that?  A train wreck is what.  That’s how the entire Texas basketball season can be described.  A screaming, screeching, ugly train wreck.  After ascending to #1 in the nation for the first time in school history, the wheels just fell off during conference play.  You can read all about the final and
