Also, if you’re as big a degenerate as Trips right, the FLV sportsbook has posted the second round 5A and 4A games and they can be found on the open events listing. Lower classification games to come later. And before you ask, it’s actually faster to post games when I use my system to determine the lines than it is to post them using someone else’s lines. Much, much faster. It’s time for srr50 and HenryJames to put their hard-earned fake money where their mouths are.

  1. How the fuck did Premont move ahead of Claude? This thing is bullshit.

  3. Awesome stuff, thanks. So, are all the lines on FLV (HS, CFB, NFL) the lines you generate?

  4. Want to know why I’ve got Tech picked to beat OU with full confidence even without looking at OU’s atrocious road record (or Landry Jones’ history of airballs)? Take a look at the adjusted sacks per game rankings, and find Texas Tech.

  5. The lines on the sportsbook are from real books for college and the NFL. The high school ones are ones I’ve generated, of course.

However, I’m seriously considering just using the ones I generate for everything because it’s faster. I’m trying to figure out how to speed up the process for the real book lines, though.

  6. I have no idea how Ruffin McNeill has us ranked #2 in the country in sacks with our roster. I guess the guy is worth every penny.

  7. He’s worth every side of beef he swallows whole, ded.

  8. I just got a coworker that has been swallowing the ESPN koolaid to bet me that if Texas and Florida play, the opening line will favor Florida by greater than 8 (I obviously took the less than 8 side). Now I’m pretty confident that the actual line based on power rankings and matchups should be way less than that, but am I in for a rude surprise when Vegas sets a massive sucker bet for the general public?

If I lose that bet, I guess I’ll double up on the actual game.

  9. There’s no way Florida is favored by 8-1/2 or more unless some really crazy shit happens between now and then.

Even though every standard power ratings set has Texas ahead of Florida right now, I think you’re right that the books would install Florida as the favorite anyway. But it would be closer to 3-1/2 points, IMO. Remember, computers had Texas favored over Southern Cal 4 years ago but the Trojans were favored by a touchdown. So that kind of thing has happened before but I think you’re safe for now. Besides, high-powered offenses lead to bigger lines and neither Texas nor Florida have that going for them right now.

  10. Pinnacle already threw out an opening line on the SEC Title game at Florida -4.5 and its already down to UF -3.5. You can actually bet on this already (if you weren’t american on pinnacle). I think we would be +3 opening and then it would be interesting to see where that gets moved.

  11. I’m getting nervous about that stuckinmn 8.5+ bet now… I took some of that action too.

Nate, God bless you, but let’s Occam Razor this here bitch. Do you really think the NCAA just has a bone to pick with Mike Balogun? I mean is he on some federal no-fly list, or no football list we’re not aware of? Is he Al Queda? Is he Al

Except for ‘Ice Castles’ of course.

Congrats on a cute daughter, I wish I had read something in that post-mortem that would indicate a viable strategy for paying back those freaking Baylor Bears.
I don’t suppose Bradley could move over on Tweety Carter? J’Covan Brown should be well rested for this next game and Hamilton only played 22 minutes so we’d better

    Football:

I wasn’t paying attention to the defensive line so somehow I failed to notice Mack’s current leaning towards Sam Acho as your starting 3-tech in 2010. I had assumed Jones, Sacho, Okafor and Randall as the 4 best linemen but I forgot that Sacho was the one who moved inside last year in passing situations.

Scholarship contract, I believe, and implied contract via the NCAA and member institutions. If you haven’t already, read the Andy Oliver case. Fascinating stuff. I’m trying to get Ripley to let me (teach me how to) upload a link to a copy of the brief.

For those of you that discount this Texas victory over Iowa State, you do so at your own peril. The Cyclones are a solid team that just knocked off a top 10 squad on their home floor. Yes, that’s right, ISU is coming off a convincing win in Manhattan, KS, against a veritable

I understand that Andy Oliver wanted to settle his lawsuit and move on with his life but I wish he would have kept going. His settlement erased the judges ruling and won’t stop the NCAA from interfering with athletes in cases like Andys and Baloguns

I’m pretty sure Vince Young tested out of the Wonderlic when he fist fucked the NFL his rookie season. Billy Joe Tolliver, Tech’s QB claim to fame, grocery bagger, imo.

Laugh… my favorite college football/Bible quote since this one from 2007:

St. Osborne entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of Callahan and the benches of those selling recruiting rankings. “It is written,” he said to them, “This house will be called a house

the pick’em in CS was stupid. Tomorrow’s isn’t that stupid, especially with us having the “revenge” factor. Winning that game would guarantee us a 6 seed, which I’d like.
