Also, if you’re as big a degenerate as Trips right, the FLV sportsbook has posted the second round 5A and 4A games and they can be found on the open events listing. Lower classification games to come later. And before you ask, it’s actually faster to post games when I use my system to determine the lines than it is to post them using someone else’s lines. Much, much faster. It’s time for srr50 and HenryJames to put their hard-earned fake money where their mouths are.

  1. How the fuck did Premont move ahead of Claude? This thing is bullshit.

  3. Awesome stuff, thanks. So, are all the lines on FLV (HS, CFB, NFL) the lines you generate?

  4. Want to know why I’ve got Tech picked to beat OU with full confidence even without looking at OU’s atrocious road record (or Landry Jones’ history of airballs)? Take a look at the adjusted sacks per game rankings, and find Texas Tech.

  5. The lines on the sportsbook are from real books for college and the NFL. The high school ones are ones I’ve generated, of course.

However, I’m seriously considering just using the ones I generate for everything because it’s faster. I’m trying to figure out how to speed up the process for the real book lines, though.

  6. I have no idea how Ruffin McNeill has us ranked #2 in the country in sacks with our roster. I guess the guy is worth every penny.

  7. He’s worth every side of beef he swallows whole, ded.

  8. I just got a coworker that has been swallowing the ESPN koolaid to bet me that if Texas and Florida play, the opening line will favor Florida by greater than 8 (I obviously took the less than 8 side). Now I’m pretty confident that the actual line based on power rankings and matchups should be way less than that, but am I in for a rude surprise when Vegas sets a massive sucker bet for the general public?

If I lose that bet, I guess I’ll double up on the actual game.

  9. There’s no way Florida is favored by 8-1/2 or more unless some really crazy shit happens between now and then.

Even though every standard power ratings set has Texas ahead of Florida right now, I think you’re right that the books would install Florida as the favorite anyway. But it would be closer to 3-1/2 points, IMO. Remember, computers had Texas favored over Southern Cal 4 years ago but the Trojans were favored by a touchdown. So that kind of thing has happened before but I think you’re safe for now. Besides, high-powered offenses lead to bigger lines and neither Texas nor Florida have that going for them right now.

  10. Pinnacle already threw out an opening line on the SEC Title game at Florida -4.5 and its already down to UF -3.5. You can actually bet on this already (if you weren’t american on pinnacle). I think we would be +3 opening and then it would be interesting to see where that gets moved.

  11. I’m getting nervous about that stuckinmn 8.5+ bet now… I took some of that action too.

In these dark and desperate times, sometimes a little good news goes a long way. For example, my wife just had our first child, we haven’t had sex in 5 weeks, and I just discovered that the two issues are entirely unrelated. Essentially, my existence is a combination of the worst parts of

This team makes me feel like I have all this weight on my shoulders and I can’t get it off my back to just breath and walk freely.

Yeah there are times that it goes away, like when we get another football recruit not named Chet or Taylor. Or when I think about a starting

Rick Reilly’s articles invariably remind me of that Simpsons episode where Bart becomes a TV celebrity with his saccharine “Bart’s People”. I almost expect Rick to end each column with “Hmmm… really makes you think.”

Loss in Waco = Win in Kansas City?

Tonight the Bears get their second crack of the year at Kansas State. The first time we played K State in Waco, we managed to lose the game despite being more efficient than K State offensively. While K State did outshoot us by 9%, and outrebounded us 36-32,

    Thanks, St. Emilion.

That’s a good choice, but UNC was so good that Ty didn’t stand out as much as he should have.

Mateen Cleaves, Khalid El Amin, Ty Edney, those were some other tournament war daddies that come to mind along with Lawson.

That is the most awesome analogy in the history of analogies, imo. Seriously, I usually don’t like them because they rarely ever actually describe a situation well, but that one is perfect.

Ugh…if Hamilton and Bradley ditch for the NBA I’ll start to move out of the Rick Barnes camp because this team doesn’t have a great contingency for that event. Especially if Varez Ward can’t come back healthy.
That would take away probably the 2 best shooters on the team and replace them with Dogus, Ward, Brown,

    Milk,

I don’t think JCB is going to sit at the end of the bench though. He needs to understand what his coach and team needs. Better sustained effort, better ball protection, and better defense. He has offensive skills that someone like Justin Mason just doesn’t possess, but yet lacks the physical talent

    Either works.

George Hill is physically intimidating–he’s ripped and extremely strong. Bradley is extremely weak and has TERRIBLE upper-body strength. This directly correlates with his miserable finishing ability (or lack of).

I think AB had had an extremely good freshman season and very much agree that he’s hit that freshman wall. AB still has a lot of work to do. Comparing him to the 24 year old Hill may be a disservice to Avery, but I understand where your trying to go. I

The best guards are puported to come from Chicago, Illinois because in the windy city, you either score at the goal, or you risk having our J pushed two feet off the mark thanks to the 30 mph winds whipping off Lake Michigan.

To that point about guard play, watching the Big East tournament

Yeah, but here’s the thing — you have to have some way to resolve draws. Endless extra time is impractical, because these games are played in the midst of regular league and domestic cup features — you just can’t play that much extar football. Penalty shots are even more arbitrary than away goals.

Mistakes from nerves should not be a reason to unjustly allow one goal to count as two. It goes against the true laws of the game. No other sport has a “point” (goal in this case) scored by one team counting for more than what it would for the other team. It
