This the most disappointing team because our talent level is higher than those others.
The DGib/Buckman team was the least talented, barely, after the injury to LaMarcus and Tucker’s suspension.

Great work all year long. Love the passion. The fact that you kept writing these (even around the birth of a child), is fantastic, shows your commitment, and is a little freaky. :-)
I think you showed great restraint in this post. It would have been easier to “go off” on Barnes.

The sad part is that if I didn’t read the byline, I would believe it 100%. He is such a jackass. I think he has wanted to get fired for 4 years now and Vince keeps fucking it up for him. Collins had the coffin nailed and Vince comes in with a hacksaw and pulls Fisher’s half dead ass out again. He’s thinking, just leave me alone and let me die already. Only one guy in the league that could have turned this piece of shit team around and Fisher still acts like it’s the defense or running game.

TOR – While I would have loved for the Texans to grab VY, I understand the Mario pick. I’m not saying that’s the one I would have made, but I have no problem with it. Mario has been a great DE, Houston has needed (and still does to some extent) better players on the D-line, and typically the D wins games.
I’m hoping that Houston picks up Colt in the 2nd or 3rd and makes him the eventual future QB. Matt is doing a great job for the Texans, and that would give Colt a chance to learn and grow for a few years rather than just being thrown into the fire.

A little strong, but still a good blog, Doperbo. I just know the Titans are 3-0 since I started wearing Vince’s jersey during games again. ;)
Vince is getting a lot of credit in Nashville now. CJ is still the Titans fans favorite player, but we all admit that CJ+VY = a dynamic duo that is hard to stop. On big thing is 3rd down conversions. In the first 6 games, the Titans converted only 36% of the time. In the last three games, they have converted 52% of the time, and a lot of that is Vince.
I can’t wait to see Vince and CJ get national attention on MNF next week.
Homesick Alien said:
November 16th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
I just hope there are enough Titans fans who get it that it’s no coincidence CJ is going off like he is now that VY is back in the game.
What’s crazy is that VY is still operating at maybe 65% of his capacity. If he truly gets his confidence and mojo back, if he gets to where he knows his team and coaching staff [minus Fisher] and city believe in him…that’s when it gets good.
You’re still looking at about 2nd half of sophomore season Vince.
Homesick Alien said:

Vince has his work cut out for him this week:
1) Nationally televised prime-time game
2) Revisiting all of the scrutiny and the events of the last year
3) Against the team that passed him in the draft and still has a fanbase divided over it
4) In his hometown
5) Against a team with 2 weeks to prepare for him
6) Playing to preserve their shot at a first-ever playoff berth
Did I miss anything?
Who am I kidding? Vince will whip that ass.

I did the quick number crunch for CJ with out and with VY. His YPC are up a little, but I don’t think it statistically significant. His TDs per game are up, and 2 that I know of are because of Vince (1 on the option last week and the other in the link provided by Huck above).
———Pre VY—-VY
YPC——6.3—–6.6
TD/G—–.33——2
