[...] What I believe is that Navy just plays better football than Notre Dame. The Midshipmen were upset by a shockingly good Temple squad last week, but their only other losses are at Ohio State and at Pittsburgh. They have beaten Air Force ….. jonestopten wrote a new blog post: jones Top Ten – Week Ten – 2009 3 hours , 27 minutes ago.
The inital comment reminds me of a famous quip by Abe Lemons.

When asked whether his freshman point guard could handle the rigours of starting in the SWC, he retorted: “When I was crawling on my belly at Iwo Jima, I was thinking, ‘I’m glad I’m not a freshman trying to play college basketball,’” Lemons joked.

Well done, Adam, as usual.

Don't sleep on Stanford in the Pac 10. Jim Harbrough was one of the biggest overachievers ever as a player, and he is, IMO, one of the most underrated coaches out there. He has excellent players on offense, and his team reflects his competitive fire. Stanford may win out and play in Pasadena if that's mathematically possible. They will also monkey stomp the Irish in beautiful Palo Alto.
I was visiting family in Alabama this weekend. I told them before the game that two things would happen. First, Les Miles would do something idiotic, which he did by going for two way too early. Second, Bama would get a favorable call at a critical point of the game, as they did with the interception overrule. Get that call right and change the score to 23-16, which it would have been if LSU had kicked the PAT, and things may be different---we'll never know.

How about the Clemson Tigers. Their kicking game was beyond atrocious... But Tigers still pull out the victory
U of Houston, incredible comeback!
Landry Jones just threw another pick.
LSU's non interception - but Jarret Lee actually leading LSU on a scoring drive, probably not
aggy lost, oklahoma lost, notre dame lost. the trifecta
Vince 2-0, just saying

>They are the ones who guarantee that the rest of us work in air-conditioned buildings and eat out on Friday night and attend our kid’s soccer game, all without a second thought to our personal safety.

America's worst enemies are domestic, and the greatest threats to our freedom and safety aren't across the ocean, at least not any more.

My prayers are with our soldiers at Ft Hood and their families, and with all our veterans who have seen the horrors of battle. Thank you for your service! If our politicians were as noble, we'd all be better off.
