Yeah your right, penders teams were at least fun to watch play. Barnes offense is pretty bad not as bad as Tom’s but its all relative to who is watching the worst offense in Texas history.

Our hoops team is the basketball version of Major League.
Jake Taylor = Damion James
Pedro Cerrano = Dexter Pittman
Willie Mays Hays = Avery Bradley

I like the move for a few reasons.
Tray wasn’t going to play a lot on the offensive side of the ball with the emergence of Snow and Walters.
Tray will play a nose and he’ll be tasked with keeping blockers off of our backers. Sounds like something that’s right in a former offensive lineman’s wheelhouse.
It also shows this staff is thinking outside the box. Will it work? Probably not as HJ pointed out the success rate here is not good.
But at the very least we’re leaving no stone unturned.
And finally, I really like the move because it seems to piss off HenryJames. It’s usually good stuff if you’re on that side of the equation.

Geoff Ketchum is a sad joke of a businessman. The fact that he has a following is a testament that the days of the end times are upon us. I am fairly certain that Coach Walker was one of the four horsemen.
Whether this is true or not, it doesn’t have any bearing on Ketchum’s “sources”. A broken clock is right twice a day. If you continue to take guesses on shit, occasionally you’ll be right.
He has now claimed that JCovan Brown was qualified twice when he was not either time. He claims “sources” anytime he posts a vaguery from an email from a poster or something he made up on his own, and then when anything remotely qualifying as aligned with said vaguery comes true, he claims it as what he was saying all along. Pathetic.

This has that feel to it. First, the two most talented DT’s drop off the radar to things beyond UT’s control over the last 2 years. The best remaining DT is a converted DE with an extensive injury history. After that, it’s a very raw sophomore, a “blocking surface”, and true freshmen. Now, we’re talking about moving an OT to DT? Yowza.
I really hope this is true.

The difference Heupel, is that it isn’t a problem across the whole D Line. We have 3 of the 4 positions covered, and have good depth at DE. While I do think we are going to have our hands full trying to come up with a 3 man rotation at DT, I don’t think it is as bad as that 2005 line was. Also, cohesion and familiarity aren’t as important on the D Line as on the O Line.

Wasn’t Shuab Rogers an OL for a while?

And if that is true about ketch, then it disgusts me.

There are alot of people who have an axe to grind with Ketch. I’d take all of this banter with a big grain of salt. Especially coming from somone with the name “Pandora”. Give me a break.

And I thought Ketch’s radio work was his only crime.

Can we separate these topics out? I don’t give a shit about Texas DTs.

Looks like Brent, whose comments were caught in our spam filter, has come the closest so far. Evans played on the defensive line as a freshman in junior college, moved to offensive line as a sophomore and then moved back to defensive line when he got to SWT.

And do you realize that the value of a blog is less than that of a tote bag?

You win for spelling prise in the English fashion.

Alright, I’ve had enough of this nutless anonymity. I go away for work and this board becomes the National Enquirer.
Truth is an absolute defense for libel. If you’re so dead sure about the facts, you should be posting your real name and an e-mail address. Otherwise, this now bores me.

Never had any reason to question Ketch myself, but I have considered his work slightly below exceptional…
I will say I just recently found out about this site through an OB member posting a link to this discussion, and all hell breaking loose down in the comments. By the time I finished reading all these comments, I went back and refreshed the OB site to see if Ketch had any response… but low and behold, the thread was deleted.
I would say a lack of retort or rebuttal does seem a bit incriminating… Although, I hope its not true.
Glad I found this site… looking forward to wasting a lot more of my time getting some good unbiased Texas football/basketball info!
