I can only hope our returning players (whoever that may be) remember this and realize they need to play motivated EVERY FUCKING GAME and put forward 40 MINUTES of effort each game.

KSU moving on led by a hot shooting Pullen. BTW, White Mormons can shoot FTs. 22 for 25, I think. Imagine if we could shoot like that.
Wake’s coming back on Kentucky. They’re within 25 right now…..

Just wanted to say I feel for you guys. As a Texas fan I know how this feels even if it’s from a football perspective.
I still think you’re the best basketball team in the country, and unfortunately you ran into a team that packed a Villanova circa 1985 type game today. Meaning they

Wow. Wake won’t break 50. Not surprising really — we should have beaten Wake and they are not a very good team.

We really struggled in the first half, but battled through it to get a tough win against Jacksonville. On to Oxford!
Forget what conference they play in, Jacksonville is a very good basketball team, and they got to Lubbock not because of a crazy bank shot at the buzzer in Phoenix, but by playing aggressive, intense defense for

If anyone in the BC bracket called this game they should immediately be hired as an assistant coach. Because that would be an act of pure witchcraft.

Tebow won’t be the first returning Heisman winner to not snag the award a second time.
I heart Pasadena in January.

Tebow’s season will be ruined in a crisis of Christian confidence when he accepts hand release from his fellow counselor, a half-Philipino coed named Romeo, on his summer mission. You just can’t store up all that junk and have it not affect you.
Ecurbmanchild said:

My prediction is that Tebow’s “gayness” will be revealed in the fall and that he will bow to pressure and remove his name from the Heisman list. (For all you dumbass okies out there, I will translate for you). Tebow will suck next year and not be invited to the Heisman awards. Also, his team will not be in the Natl. Championship game.
Meanwhile, Colt wins the Heisman and destroys USC for the MNC.

Look into your heart!
What kind of sheeny name is Bernbaum, anyway?
Wouldn’t surprise me if Colt flies all the way to Pasadena this year. Then again, he might get clocked on an unnecessary zone-read or quarterback draw.

Colt is going to have to channel himself some Vince Young all year long and completely blow those other two guys out of the water stats wise if he wants that Heisman.
There are sports writers in SEC country (Mark Schlabach from ESPN being one of them) that basically admitted last season they were voting Tebow #1 regardless before the season was even close to being over.
I guess Colt DOES need to act like a prima donna and call a presser in front of the nation’s sports writers and pull out his propaganda speech talking about how he’ll play harder, push his teammates harder, blah blah blah.
Of course, if he did that I’d lose all respect for him like I have for Saint Tebow.

It’s unfortunate but there is no way that UF goes undefeated and Tebow does not win the Heisman. Even if he has unimpressive stats his alleged “leadership” will be enough for writers to fawn over. In general I dislike Florida and most of their players but I kinda feel for their defense and Percy Havin who were actually the keys to their success last year while Tebow was showered with unwarranted adulation.

I normally like watching the SEC on CBS on Saturday afternoons but I think I will have to watch all Florida games on mute. Gary Danielson had such a huge Tebowner during the SEC championship that it would have taken slamming his tebowner in a door to cure his problem. He was comparing his Tebowner to Bronco Nagurski and any other perceived great player to proclaim that his Tebowner was the best of all time. This also goes for some at ESPN. Announce the game fellas please don’t show us your Tebowners this season.

I currently can’t disagree with any of this. Kevin Wilson, James Patton, and Roids McPsycho are currently running the OL two deep through the annual agoge, guaranteeing that OU won’t have a competent OL until 2010. Golden.
This is good news for UT, because it means the glaring deficiency at defensive tackle will go entirely unnoticed due to Muschamp’s far superior gameplanning until UT heads to Stillwater.
