Scipio has already lamented over the lack of holding calls in the Big 12 and how it seems to an a league decision to add zip to the offense.
At last week’s spring meetings, the Big 12 announced that they would be distributing a record $130 million in revenue to it’s members. That almost a 15% increase over the previous high.
Missouri AD Mike Alden added that the increase was due to “a combination of things. The strength of our conference, the Big 12 brand, our great fans who travel extremely well and television ratings,”
Two teams in the BCS helped as well. And the idea that ESPN Gameday spent a good deal of time in October and November in the Big 12 didn’t hurt either.
TV loves offense.

I watched it on the DVR. It was after 9 by the time it was over. Thank god, or I’d be about halfway through some crap gin by now. I didn’t think we’d win this one but I didn’t think we’d struggle to lose by only 19.
Good write up, btw.

But Nordberg who you gonna call!! Who ya gonna call!! :-)
Start with the top 10 coaches and I’ll bet you get discussions with more than half. After the last two seasons Barnes isn’t in the top 50, Top 100?
Patrick Bateman commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 1 minute ago
Barnes isn’t going to be fired, not matter how many beers you’ve had.
What we need to pray is that he goes out and hires a Offensive AC to help, much like Mack went out and got a good DC……Actually Mack got two good ones from the same school….

“I went back and watched the Final Four game against Syracuse. As fun as TJ was, Brandon Mouton was probably my favorite player.”
Mouton was obscene in that Cuse game. He’s the anti-Bradley. Buckman was unreal as well until he got into foul trouble.
Trips, forget Culpepper. I’d settle for Caracter at this point.
nordberg, forget

Brent Musberger just intimated that we have no identity as a team. Someone needs to play that statement on a loop in Barnes office.

The embarrassment is complete….

Blake, I’d kill you and then eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti for Randy Culpepper.

I’m heartened by the fact we’re building Jordan Hamilton’s confidence to help us out down the road.

When AB goes cold, he can’t hit a freakin’ barn……

Mike. We’re in. We’re probably one and done, but we’re in.
GoHornsGo90 commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 14 minutes ago
I generally like most of you, but I’d slit your throats in a heartbeat for Royal Ivey and Brandon Mouton to come back.

This should be a defining moment for Rick Barnes. He’s been embarrassed 3 times in a row by a guy that he publicly mocks.
Art Vandelay commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 15 minutes ago
Not to mention any names but the Barnes apologists are MIA.

Hamilton = Million dollar talent and ten cent head. Dude makes me crazy.
GoHornsGo90 commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 18 minutes ago
“If we land Corey Joseph, and if Hamilton and AB return, we could totally pull a six seed next year.”
And get a new coach…

The games a lot easier when you can shoot it.
Bryan Bennett commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 20 minutes ago
Okay, I may be officially done. Give us an 8 seed so we can lose to the 9 and let’s start talking spring football.

Mason fell asleep again. That’s three fucking times in the 2nd half….

JCB is killing Baylor. Would have been nice to have him the first half of the game…

Dex is just standing by the basket and getting fed dunks. Love it…..Back in it because the Texas Longhorns, 2009-2010 love to be a dick tease….

brown….hmmmmm

Hey, an illegal screen call. Imagine that.
Bryan Bennett commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 28 minutes ago
justhookit, that in and of itself is unforgiveable. Baylor is allowed a victory here and there in hoops but under no circumstances should ever sweep Texas in any sport. It just shouldn’t happen. Period.
Patrick Bateman commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 29 minutes ago
Got it down to 8, we haven’t quit yet and that’s something….
Art Vandelay commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 31 minutes ago
CJD, stop making sense.
Trips Right commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 32 minutes ago
Baylor’s offense has easy money they can go to. we don’t. everything’s a struggle.

yeah, I’m thankful my local liquor store owner steered me towards 400 LB monkey from Left Hand brewery. It’s the only thing that made watching that tolerable.
Don’t get me started on Oklahoma Liquor laws.

UCLA sure as hell doesn’t…
Bryan Bennett commented on the blog post Texas Hoops vs. Baylor Open Thread 33 minutes ago
At least Mason plays with heart. He may not make the right plays all the time, and he can’t shoot to save his life, but the lack of effort by other guys annoys the shit out of me. Fucking Baylor…seriously? Three losses in a single season?! Sad.

In addition to the Pope, the Rothschilds, the Gettys, Colonel Sanders (before he went tets-up), the next conference at The Meadows will include NBA/Big XII officials.
