If the Big 12 wasn’t going to be salty enough, reports from the world wide leader have the third ranked player in the land joining Cole Aldrich and Sherron Collins in the Jayhawk’s already potent lineup.
Henry gives Kansas exactly what it needs and precisely the element it was lacking. Last season, teams with elite on ball defenders could take the Jayhawks out of their offensive game by neutralizing Collins and thereby exploiting Kansas’ lack of playmakers. Since Cole Aldrich can’t really get his own offense, if a team had a Travis Walton they could kill two, pardon the pun, Jayhawks with one stone.
The arrival of Henry makes KU a legitimate National Championship contender. Henry has great size for a two, standing 6-6 weighing a solid 215 pounds. Xavier has deep range and the size to shoot over smaller guards on the perimeter off the catch. He can also create his own offense going to the goal or room for his jumper off the bounce which are elements that the Jayhawks desperately need. Bad news for the rest of the Big 12 as the rich get richer.

It will be nice to get to see Bradley go up against Henry next season. It will also be fun to see Doge and Ward in spurts against guys like that. I really enjoyed our game against Villanova last season, the defensive intensity against their star PG/SG (can’t remember which) was outstanding.
Hook ‘em!

The KU game here next season could rank as one of the biggest basketball games ever in Austin.
Probably two Top 10 teams, maybe two Top 5 teams playing each other for a #1 seed in the March tourny.

Any word on what job in the athletic department his Dad is being offered. Chalmer’s pop was Director of Basketball operations and I think since he left that spot is still open.

If Baylor had a better in game coach, they might actually do something with all that talent.

This conference is insane, even nobodies like Kansas State will be a top15 team next year with Magic Clemente and a few HS 5 star studs, on top of what we have and KU is getting, this is going to be fun.
