Football:
So, I went to the 2nd open practice Tuesday night and collected a few thoughts on the team to this point. Mostly I just watched the offensive line to determine blocking schemes/plays that were being used in the shotgun, 11 personnel, and I-formation plays. There were quite a few if half of them stick the

The draft projections I’ve seen have him late lottery, mid first round.
I think he is capable of playing better defense but he isn’t bad. He does what we ask him to do. Play good enough defense that you don’t embarrass your team and then have enough energy to run around 6 screens for

A few additional thoughts.
The YouTube video is really good.
Also, when you have embraced the Romer paper, you enter the game ready to go for it. Packages are prepared in advance, hence the higher % of times he goes for it and the higher % of times he succeeds vs. the league.
This whole

Awesome. Love to see James Anderson join KD. I haven’t watched him closely this year. Can he guard?

How many times does Texas play A&M next year in football?
I.M. Hipp commented on the blog post Big 12 Schedules 4 hours, 3 minutes ago
I’m not personally sold on the preseason hype NU is getting. However, I will say the 2010 schedule is certainly the “easiest” they have had in some time.
People keep talking about Washington as if they are tough out, I don’t see it. They won’t even win 8 games next year.

Better known as Dorkapalooza.
The conference was held on March 6th, headlined by luminaries like Rockets GM (and ‘00 Sloan School grad) Daryl Morey, author Michael Lewis, Colts GM Bill Polian, Mavs owner Mark Cuban, and ESPN Bah-stahhnophile Bill Simmons.
It attracted over 1,000 fans, job seekers, knowledge enthusiasts, sexless dorks, and rationals.

Whether your club has fallen victim to it or triumphed from it, soccer has no other subject that splits public opinion quite as much as the controversial Away Goals Rule in knockout competitions.
Andres Iniesta’s stoppage time goal in last season’s Champions League semifinal knocked out Chelsea even though neither team won a match in the

Dez canceled and according to Yahoo will work out at home in Lufkin near the end of the month. The hamstring may be worse than I first thought.
CB Perrish Cox will not be allowed to work out at pro day. Missing curfew around here gets you banished apparently.

I think Texas could have started six men vs. KU, KSU and Baylor and still lost. Hmmmm.
At any rate, having six guys doesn’t really bother me, foolish consistencies and hobgoblins an all that.
Bunch of very good players.

UT fan can breathe a deep sigh of relief as the NCAA put a one year hold on what has to be the most hilariously asinine rule proposed by the NCAA in the last 3 months. Yes, I chose that time frame on purpose.

Phenom,
Scouts think there are exactly two franchise QB’s in this draft: Bradford and Clausen. Bradford is interviewing extremely well and leaving very good impressions on GMs and personnel director types. Clausen is still a douche.
Meanwhile, scouts are overthinking Ndamukong Suh. I think Gerald McCoy may very well have a more

A bit of magic from Arjen Robben sent Bayern Munich into the quarterfinals over a brave Fiorentina side; Nicklas Bendtner scored a hat-trick as Arsenal crushed a disappointing Porto team 5-0 to make it to Europe’s elite eight.
These dudes make Bayern Munich a real threat as the Champions League rolls on.
