Andre Jones pleads guilty

Posted by HenryJames on June 26th, 2008 under Football

Former Texas player Andre Jones pled guilty to aggravated robbery today. So that’s the end of that.

He got 30 days, 10 years probation and 340 hours of community service.

I’m sure it was worth it.

His lawyer said that Jones hopes to rejoin the team, but a Texas source quickly put the kibosh on that.

I hear UTEP is looking for defensive tackles.

Jones’ scholarship will be revoked because he plead guilty to a felony, a source close to the football team said.

    No shit, ya think?

How long before you take our title?

  3. If the crime involved a baseball bat he might’ve had a shot with OU and gotten an extra year of eligibility.

At this rate, a couple of years before the Sun becomes a red giant and expands to engulf and incinerate Earth. Three, tops.

I think Okie Light will give this troubled young man a 2nd chance. It’s not like he raped a 13 yr old girl.

How long before Mack is forced to deal with the fact that he has a disastrous record on discipline?

After an impressive #6 ranking in the Fulmer Cup rankings in 2007 (for “like 800 DUIs “),

    Fulmer Cup 2007

Texas isn’t even in the Top 50 this year.

Perhaps things are getting cleaned up?

Oh, and Bama is just running away with the Cup this year (Double Armed Robbery, disorderly conduct, Public Intox, Selling Nose Candy).

It will take a couple of murders by Mizzou Tigers to catch up.

And it only cost us two safeties, a running back and a defensive tackle.
