2008 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship Title Goes to The Horns

Posted by Z on May 25th, 2008 under Baseball

height=19 hits led to a 15-7 win, the third such crown the Horns have captured. Brandon Belt was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship Most Outstanding Player and joined teammates Jordan Danks and Russell Moldenhauer on the all tourney squad. Now, can somebody tell me just what the fuck to expect out of these guys from here on out?

Congrats and Hook ‘Em!

  1. expect them not to make it to a super regional.

  2. We get the Rice regional along with Sam Houston State and St. John’s.

Based on the draw, there is no reason we should not make it to Omaha…other than the way we have pitched and played defense all season…

  4. If we get by Rice, I like our road. That’s a pretty serious if, though. We just don’t have the pitching depth for the regional round. Boening looked pretty good once he settled down in the CG (right before they pulled him), it would be huge if he gave us a solid performance. Bullpen is thin, though, and looks to be our weakest spot.

  5. We can do this from the winners bracket. It all comes down to the first game against Rice.

  6. Excellent site, added to favorites!!

    Florida fucking sucks.

What happened there, Berger. How do you go from BACK to BACK Champs to missing the tourney two years, nearly missing it again and then getting run in round 1?

I don’t trust UNM either, and I have no reason not to other than I still feel spurned by a loss back in early January to San Diego State. Which is not a bad loss but it cost me money. In all my brackets I have the winner of Marq/Wash. going to the

If you care enough, you are in a position to watch all games. No need for live look-in.

Fisher and Reynolds were benched to start the game for violating curfew. ‘Nova had issues before this. I don’t think they’re long for the tourny.

wiseguys and sharps are synonymous. They move the lines because they know more than the books for the most part. Call them insiders.

Sure, Todd Reesing is known as the brainy short Big 12 QB who likes to fake read The Economist. However, Todd Reesing’s photograph, as far as I know, has never made it to the print edition. Chase Daniel’s has. See:

Triston. I doubt if it takes Kentucky off of Selby’s list. But while Wall and Bledsoe played well together, how would Knight, Selby, and Bledsoe play together? Kansas could be a very strong possibility for Selby.
