Beasley is a beast -- he had his double/double at the half. But as Trips wisely pointed out, we did induce their guards to take (and miss)enough threes to help out.

Bill Walker? ConnerFuckingAtchley had him for a lot of the game -- and Walker went 0 for 14 from the field and scored one point.

Oh and Atchley was perfect from the floor, scored 14 points, and put the finishing touches on the win with a 3-pointer.

He is a prime example of what Rick Barnes does best: take guys who are 4-year fillers on the roster and turns them into important D-1 players

See Royal Ivey, Brandon Mouton, Jason Klotz, and Connor Atchley. To say nothing of guys like P.J. Tucker and Justin Mason who also improve exponentially in the program.

Barton, yeah, I saw a 3.5 out there as well.

Texas isn't getting alot of love from the linesmakers. Considering they were a short 4 point fave at home against TAMU, 2 point dogs at baylor, and just a 9 point faves at home against Ou. Hell TAMU was an 11.5 point favorite against Nebraska.

Vegas certainly doesn't believe the hype yet.

Our zone sucks so bad that I think we go man and double from the back side if he gets inside of 15 feet. If he knocks down outside jumpers/threes with a hand in his face, so be it. I just don't like the idea of messing with our D too much right now.

Guys, this is just a different team at home. They have played 6 conference games at home. 6-0 with an average margin of victory of 23 points. 5 wins over 20 points, one win (Kansas) 9 points. This is a tough task. We can do it, but it is probably 50/50 at best.

It probably wouldn't hurt for Atchley to hit some 3's and pull Beasley away from the basket, either.

James/Walker will be a fun matchup to watch.

If UT does two things they should win.

1) Zone them. They don't move the ball well enough to really succeed against a well played zone.
2) Rebound. Beasley and Walker love to crash the offensive glass and typically get a lot of points here. Limiting that could be a huge key.

Great analysis!

Texas has to try beating KSU on their home court which won't be easy, but if they do, they'll have their first perfect February since the 1962-63' season.
